Greetings young traveller,

My name is Admiral Wordsmith, the one pretending to be in charge here and you have found yourself amongst "Adventures of the Written Word", a blog where you can discover the joy of storytelling and develop a passion for penning your own journeys into whatever world you like.

Amongst these posts and pages you will find everything you need to take yourself on an adventure of the imagination (truly the best kind of adventure).

Listen to a story, make a suggestion for a story you'd like to hear/read or simply find a prompt or picture to inspire your own written word adventure.

Stay for a little or a long time, come back often or every once in awhile.  The great thing about stories is that they are both always here and always changing.  The most important thing to remember is that they are the easiest and most enjoyable type of escape.
